We know what you're thinking:
PLACENTA? What the..?

NEW Hadamony Aquaplacenta Skin Care Line contains placental protein, which is rich in nutrients, amino acids and growth factor. It stimulates skin cell renewal to revitalize the skin. It also visibly reduces and fights signs of skin aging and whitens for a brighter complexion. These hydrating products contains a blend of three types of hyaluronic acid for immediate relief against skin dryness and dullness. Rich gel-cream formula easily spreads on, penetrating the surface to deliver rich moisturizers and rebuild skin's moisture reserve.

What is Placenta?

  • A placenta is a thin, flat, round membrane that attaches itself to the wall of the uterus during pregnancy. The umbilical cord attaches the fetus to the placenta. As explained at AmericanPregnancy.org, the placenta produces pregnancy-related hormones such as chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), estrogen and progesterone. It provides the fetus with oxygen and nutrients through small blood vessels, and it allows waste from the fetal blood to enter the mother's blood stream; the maternal blood and the fetal blood never mix. After the baby is born, the placenta is released in a process referred to as "after birth."

    Placenta Skin Care History
According to CareFair.com, placenta cosmetics are a skin care trend that began in the 1930s with an injection. CareFair.com explains that because of the nourishing qualities of the placenta, the cream has been noted as being a "wonder cream" in the field of cosmetics; placenta cream is best known as being an anti-aging cream because it stimulates cell renewal. As the skin ages, cells do not renew as rapidly as they once did, causing the skin to appear thinner. Placenta cream benefits are that the cell renewal placenta cream creates causes the skin to retain a youthful quality.

  • Placenta Skin Care Benefits

Although cosmetics can be made from animal and human placentas, which are very effective, studies have shown that the use of human, pig and aqua marine placenta extracts is more compatible when used for skin care products. Since they are created from something biologically equal to our own skin, they are more beneficial and will not create a physical dependence. Here are some specific benefits to using placenta cosmetics and skin care products:

  1. The hyaluronic acid from the placenta can be used in these products as a moisturizer. Hyaluronic Acid also helps with skin problems, like scarring and wrinkles.
  2. The protein hydrolysate from the placenta helps fight wrinkles, as well.
  3. The high and low molecular extracts from placenta have many different benefits. These include stimulating skin growth, rejuvenating skin which is aging, and helping to treat acne and viral skin infections, due to its anti-viral and antiseptic qualities.
  4. It hydrates beautifully and contains three types of Hyaluronic Acids which help to retain that moisture as well as Glycerin for added moisture. Acerola Berry Extract and honey add translucency to skin which aids in easing dullness.
  5. It’s mineral oil free.

Popping Pimples || What you need to know!

We all get the urge to pop our pimples, zits, and blackheads. We also usually give into temptation. We try to re-frame ourselves because we know we’re not supposed to. But why?

Popping your acne: A pimple or zit occurs when the pore becomes engorged with sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria. When you squeeze it, you force some of that debris deeper into the follicle, causing it to rupture and spill into the dermis, which worsens it.

Picking at your acne: This can worsen your blemish, but most importantly, this causes acne scarring.

The best policy is a hands-off one.

Since this policy seems like an impossibility for most of us. Let’s look at what type of squeezers/poppers there are and talk about the best way to pop.

There are two types of acne squeezers/poppers, the type who doesn’t get carried away and gently squeezes a ripe pimple, only releasing the puss. And the chronic squeezers/poppers that squeeze it until blood comes out.

The first is the better of the two but can still cause some puss to be forced deeper down the follicle.

Follow these simple steps for the right way to pop a pimple.

The Right Way to Pop a Pimple:

Wash face and hands, to avoid adding more bacteria to the newly popped blemish and surrounding areas.

Apply a warm dampened washcloth to the blemish, this will soften the skin and open the pore opening, to avoid breaking the skin. Note: You may also gentle prick the pimple with a sterilized needle during this step to create an opening, if one does not appear.

Take two Q-tips and apply pressure to the surrounding areas. You want the force to come from underneath the puss, to avoid pushing it deeper within the follicle. Q-tips are recommended to avoid adding extra bacteria and from damaging/scratching the skin with your nails.

Wash your face with an Acne Cleanser or Anti-Bacterial Soap afterwards, to remove excess bacteria filled puss.

          Tips:

Stop applying pressure when blood or clear fluid starts to come out. This can cause scarring.

Do not force the pimple. If it’s ready to pop, it will pop. Continuously working on it will cause it to scar, leave it alone until its ready.

Remember part of acne prevention is to exfoliate, to remove dead skin cells. They are one of the main ingredients in your pimple!

3 Ways to Make Eyes "POP" with 1 Tool

Multiple Uses with 1 Makeup Tool

The amazing thing about makeup is that one tool can be used in multiple different ways and for different purposes than its original intention. Today's example will be a white shimmering eyeliner or an eye shadow pen. Just because these products were intended for the eyelid, doesn't mean it can't be used for other parts of your face. It's a great way to be resourceful, creative and to give your look a little "uumph."

          Who can use this technique?
          Perfect for Those Who Are...

          Of Any Skin Tone
          Constantly tired or stressed
Wish to enlargen look of eyes

Wish to brighten look of eyes

          Have dark under eye areas

Want a quick boost in their look

          Enjoy experimenting with makeup

Want to save money by using a tool for multiple purposes

Already have a white highlighter or sightly shimmering makeup pen

          What You Will Need:
1 x Some type of White Smudge-able Eyeliner or Eyeshadow
*All items below can be found at www.PrettyandCute.com

          How to Achieve This Method:

Start by applying regular eye makeup and eyebrow makeup, but hold off on the mascara.

          1. Using a white shimmering pencil or smudge-able white eyeliner that does not have much shimmer to the inner tear duct of your eye and gently smudge to blend it.
          2. Apply a small amount under the bottom eyelid near the outer corner of your eye from the middle to the end and gently smudge out to blend it with either the sponge end of your makeup tool, a brush or the pad of your ring finger. This will help to hide your under eye circles and brighten up the area.
          3. Using the same white shimmering pencil, apply a dab right at the highest part of your eyebrows aka the "arch". Using your choice of blending tool from step #3, blend outwards under the outer part of your eyebrow. Do not blend inwards.
          4. If you have a thin white eyeliner, line the inside of your lower lid, on the waterline behind your own eyeliner. This will give the illusion of larger whites to your eyes.

NOTE* Not all of these methods need to be used together! For a subtle look, use only 1-2 of these methods. Using all of them can overpower your look and make you look overdone.

          Makeup for Smaller/Asian Eyes

There has always been that saying "Makeup does wonders" and for some Asian women, this is true especially when it comes to the eye region. Asians are prone to having smaller eyelids and eye areas in general, so when it comes to eye makeup, they usually wish to open and brighten the eye area if they can. Opening up the eyes doesn't just make the overall look seem more awake and brighter, but for some, its more of a self-esteem element.  On the left is of an image of a woman (user: munner83 of reddit.com) who posted her own photo onto the Internet to demonstrate a half of her face after makeup.

Most women on the particular website believed that this woman has used her makeup effectively and that it’s a powerful tool in helping her with self esteem. In one quote said “She’s so brave for opening up like that. This video made me cry because I totally know what she’s feeling. People who don’t have acne don’t know what it’s like to have your self esteem basically plummet every time you look in the mirror. I just want to give her a big hug.” (user: Random_Mochi, Reddit.com).
If you also have small eyes, want to brighten or boost your look, check out these steps:

          • Eyeshadow: Always apply a matte eyeshadow with the color that's closer or lighter to your skin tone on the entire eyelids to even out the area and making the later application of the darker color spreading smoother (otherwise spotted eyeshadows are more likely to occur). The eyeshadow color should be natural light brown to darker brown in her case.
          • Eyeliner: Apply eyeliners closer to the lash line first (will put more after the fake eyelashes laid on) on both upper and bottom liners
          • Apply False Lashes: Go over the upper liner with black eyeliner to blend in the gap. Remember to make the liners thicker at the end and thinner to the inner corner of the eyes.
          • Lip: Apply lip liner to the outer liner of the lip with the color that closer to the lip tone with a bit of peachy-pink tints; apply lip gloss to give the thin lip a more luscious look
          • Blush: Slightly brush on the apples of your cheeks with a peachy shade that is closer to your skin tone for the finished look.

Beauty Blog Tip: Perfect Nail Polish Application - No more OOPS!

Does this ever happen to you when you try to perfect your nail polish application? --> First, you would accidentally get some nail polish onto the sides of your nails on the skin. Then you would try to clean it off with a tissue, a cotton ball or worse, another polished nail which made the mess even worse?

Which scenario irritates you more when painting your nails?

          1) How the cotton balls can get the fluffy fluff onto our nails and ruin the entire nail.

          2) Trying to fix a nail with another polished nail, ruining that one with either extra unwanted nail polish or a chip.

No need to worry any more! We have a quick remedy/tip for all you DIY mani-pedi girls out there. All you need to do before you paint on your nail polish is use a cotton swab to apply a bit of lotion around the nail bed with a cotton swab so that your other fingers/nails don't any excess oils. Using a greasy lotion will do the best trick. You can even try petroleum jelly if you'd like.

After you have painted on your nail polish, use a wooden cuticle stick to wipe off the excess nail polish on the nail. If you don't own one of these, you can also use a cotton swab and take the cotton off one end. Flatten the stick if you'd like for easier removal of the excess nail polish. Easy as that!

Try this technique the next time you play with your nails!
